The Hamassien and Karen people are emigrated from Tembien district.

Their ancestors were from sub district called Tanka-milash, specific area is Adinifas, Seharti, Shegalu, Serawat, Adisalem and a lot of others.  Shegalu, Serawat and Adisalem are in the city of Abi Adi, the capital city of Tembien.  In general most of the small are in Hamassein district and the sub district of Tanka Milash have similar names.  It is not only the same name in both districts but the elders in both sides will tell you that some of the Tembien people migrated to the farthest north of Ethiopia and settled in the district of  Hamassein.

Essayas Afewerki is the most recent emigrant from Tembein.  The same Aman Amdom also from Tembien called Sukurti. It is out side of Abi Adi town a very beautiful highland; they are famous for their local swimming skills in Tembien district.  Ferew Hailu – a singer also in the same area to Aman Amdom vicinity called Zukuli.  The Zukuli women are the most beautifule in the whole Ethiopia period.  I do not know how they got them but some of them they have a blue eye, all have long and straight hairs, very tick eye lashes, slims and their general features are like European women.  

Bay the way, I used to know Essayas’s father Aboy Afewerki.  He used live in Mekelle.  I almost used to see him very morning.  One morning I was at the Ras Seyoum Hospital in Mekelle and a couple of people with military uniform brought a young guy to the Hospital for a treatment and they laid him down at cement floor on the hallway like a dead person.  Immediately the rumors spread as he was a brother of Essayas Afewerki and he was caught by the secret police and arrested at the secret police station.  I do know how he did it but he jumped from the third floor and injured so badly.  After half an hour or so his father Aboy Afewerki came and stood by him and looked at him for a few minutes and left with out saying any word to him or to any one else.  At that time I was so quite and thinking about the whole situations and a tear come out from my eyes with out opening my mouth.  Aboy Afewerki used to wear a hut made of grass from Metahit all the time. 

Lately I have been hearing all Ereatrians came from Gonder province area called Tekombia.  Yes one the district people called Seraye are originated from Amhara region.   The Adwa people originated from the same area.  Both Adwa and Seraye is the same people who came a long time ago from Gonder province and settled in central Tigrai called Adwa and Seraye.  So both people are not a Tigrean origin but Amhara origin.  For a clue if you look their natural features of Seraye people some how they are different from the rest of Tigrigna speaking Hamassien and Akologizay people the way they look.  Even in Tigrai all Tigreans look alike except the Adwa people.  90% Adwa people are darker, round face, shorter, flat nose, and bigger lips and above all they are very mysterious people.  An Adwa person will not tell you the truth.  This applies to Seraye people too.  You can ask any one from Hamassien will tell you about that.  BTW, there is a say by all Tigrigna speaking people.  That is, no matter how deep you dig; you will not find a Seraye, Adwa and Gonder people’s heart.  It is always hidden from you.  A rope tighten by a Seraye, Adwa and Gonder will not cut not alone by a person even by a rate.  No matter how long you became a friend to them, they never show you their true heart. 

Akologizay people are very nice and kind people.  They are very proud of their ancestor’s history.  They never gave their hands to the enemy of their country Ethiopia.  In various wartime, they fought along side of their brethren Ethiopia.  The Hamassiens are very arrogant and very open heart.  They are honest and forward speaking people, unlike Seraye people.

I also heard Eritearians origin was from Kings of Lasta, which is the Zagea dynasty.  The Zagea kingdom was the longest running empire of the Axumiet kingdom from around 1200 to 1500 A.D. All of them are from the same families.  They were about 12 to 13 kings and ruled Ethiopia from10 to 35 years each king.  They were located in part of Wello  and Tembien, Tanka Milash and Abergele subdistrict.  Since the Hamassien came from those areas originally, they may have same kind of blood relationship.  But if that was true, then the Karen people are closer to the Zagea dynasty than the Hamassien people.  Because the Karen people are originally from Tembien Abergele sub district, which is called the land of Agow. Abergele is the border of Wello, which is the land of Sokota , it is part of Tembein.  Actually the Karen people are more proud to be called Tembien origin than the Hamassien people.  This is a very mysterious to me at all time.  Essayas Afewerki, you are Tembienai wither you like it or not. To the Tembien people, it doe not matter wither he admits it or not. 

No development and no peace untill we captured all greater (Abay) Tigrai (Ethiopia).

Cut Meles's troat and captured Essayas  alive and we will have a true permanent peace and development for all Ethipians from Ras Kassa to Moyalle.
