The Eritrean people fought along their Ethiopian brothers in DOGALI, GUNDAT, GURA,


ADWA, MAICHEW and SOMALIA. The history that you are reading now is from the books of Issayas and Melase and both they don't represent Ethiopia and Eritrea. Let refresh your memories of Eritrean heroism.


Abraham Dobech and Mogos Asgedom


During the fascist invasion in 1935-1936 two Eritrean nationals Abraham Dobech and Mogos Asgedom tried to kill an Italian field marshal and adherent of B. Mussolini called Graziani in Addis Ababa.


Zerai Derres


Zerai Deres (an Eritrean) who had served as an interpreter to the confined Rases (in Rome) on June 13, 1938, Zerai Derres stood in front of the monument to the fallen heroes of Dog'ali in Rome and begun shouting anti-Italian and pro-Haile Sellassie slogans to the public. Several persons were killed and injured in an attempt to silence him.


Lorenzo Teazaz


Lorenzo Teazaz an Eritrean National who met Hailesealse in Aden and they became friends, fled the colonial administration after he learned that Italians going to invade Ethiopia and going to use the nerve gas. Lorenzo was the writer of the famous speech that addressed in the League of Nations by Haileselase. Lorenzo served as foreign Minster and permanent UN ambassador. The key intelligence strategist who double crossed the Italians gave all the information to Menilik in the battle of Adwa was Awealom and this man was also from Eritrea.


After the defeat of fascist Italian by the alliance, Hailesealse used diplomacy and the emperor also tried to influence the Eritrean public through prominent Eritrean elders and clergy. However; the Eritreans that willingly wants part of Ethiopia outweighed the efforts was taken by the Emperor. Eritreans spent their time, money and life to be part of Ethiopia. And also there were few in numbers that wants the sovereign Eritrea and one of them was Weldab Woldemariam from Adwa. The vast majority Eritreans always wants to reunite with Ethiopia and formed a unionist movement 1941.  Eritrea always been betrayed by people from Tigray like Woldeab Woldemarim from Adwa, Issayas Afewerki from Temben, Hagos Gbrihiwet Kisha from Temben Yamane Gebrab and  Yamane Gebremeskel both from Adwa..  And all the ESAPA cadres like Fistum Berhan did many harmful things to Eritrean public are also from Tigray. Hailesealse and Derg they love to see both regions to be enemies and Issayas as Prince Asrate Kassa recruit he knows this strategy and he using it. TPLF conspired with Issayas and denied the Eritreans their right to be part of Ethiopia. And most pro union activists were handed over to Issayas and killed.


My dear friends instead preaching hatred try to get the facts right. And try to reconcile and preach for peace. Eritreans fought for Ethiopia more than anybody else and rewarded a place in South Ethiopia for their heroism and the place called SEMA TRU HAMSSIEAN. A true Eritrean always respects Ethiopians of Tigray origin and often times they tied in marriages. I did not deny Ethiopians had badly treated by Issayas. Issayas always wanted to create divisions and hatred between Tigray and Eritrean people and also among Eritreans too between Hamassien and Akleguzai Moslem and Christian. All the atrocities been committed by Issayas and his cronies and don’t blame the ERITREAN people after all Issayas is from Temben. See Issayas have identity problem in order to prove his not from Tigray he punishes the people of Tigray.

aite ugum we all know that but the problem started when amharu started mistreating eritreans. the eritreans start rebellion and championed for independence and got it after paying so much blood. and if you remember in the latest war with you tegarus you hated eritrean more than the amharu,you forgot all the bonds we made during our suffering under the amharas and sided with them even your infamous PM said oppenly he hates eritrean color of eye. so all the history you mentioned which the eritrean are proud of the past doesn't apply to the new eritrea and doesnt mean we have to trust agames any more. see in our history we fought for 30 yrs because our grandfather made a big mistake of joining ethiopia in federation. in this new generation of eritreans we have learned the hard way to deal with you guys we need a wall that makes you leave us alone forever. you live with you insecurities and jealosy behind the wall. and we need an army which can stand for our interest. So now stop crying it is to late eritrea is gone forever. you have a right to dream and try to return the clock back word but you need to wake up at some point or you will spend your life dreaming. at this point tegaru if you think you will be ok with amharu than hamasien ok with us. be like that and leave us alone. but the sad thing is in reality tigray and eritrea will always be neighbours and the wise thing to do is to work for peace, not wars. peace for the tigrina speakers in general.

We been treated equal if not better. We never been a colony and we never denied access to school or employment. Transportation businesses were monopolized by Eritreans, commercial banks; Ethiopian airlines and telecommunication were dominated by Eritreans. Dreg brutalized all people of all regions indiscriminately not only Eritrea or Eritreans. So we were better with Ethiopia than free Eritrea. The oil refinery in Assab is collecting rust the port of Assab becomes a boat dock just like the one in  Missouri River. So tell me know are we better. 300,000 school age children are serving the tyrant government for free for the lat 7 years. People are locked up in containers is this better?

There is no better government than this current Ethiopian Government. Look the country is heading to democracy. Now the opposition can get air time on the government owned media. Do you people want Mengustu we can give you one Issayas. So please respect your government and try to work with your government or try to fix the problem. Right now I see people are angry, frustrated and lost for no reason. This is not the way in which politics works. Unlike Eritrean government your government welcomes you to fight injustices in a civil manner. If there are injustices the truth will prevail until then be part of the solution.


Today Ethiopia is not in political crisis or in war with Eritrea. The major problem today is HIV/AIDS and your Eritrean brothers are denied justice and freedom. The majority Ethiopians in Diaspora are in denial or busy promoting their political views and hatred towards the ruling government and Eritrean people. The people in Ethiopia needs help to combat HIV/AIDS and the people in Eritrea needs your help to fight the injustices under a tyranny. Unlike any before it, Ethiopia’s AIDS epidemic is growing at a swift pace as the same time the Eritrean people are tortured, killed and imprisoned. Not only are hundreds of people of all ages languishing every day by AIDS in Ethiopia and by Issyas in Eritrea, but at the same time children are being orphaned. Please stop crying.
