This topic may concern specially Tigreans, but some ideas from our Ethiopian brothers are welcome. Let me explain why TPLF must not be a political Party: . TPLF is the history of the Tigrean people, their sacrifice for democracy. . TPLF is composed of Tigreans with different political & economical tendency. . TPLF is an armed struggle, which is not compatible with political structure. . The Tigrean people must have political alternatives; a political party can win election but also may lose. TPLF, which is the struggle of the tigrai people, cannot be a loser by her own people.
My conclusion is that TPLF should be kept as a treasure in our museum.
No one is entitled to say this and that should/should not be a political party. what's important is challenging the party and make it lose the ballot count. labelling hardly helps the Nation and is against the constitution.
You didn't even try to argue me based on my points above. If you really are Ethiopian, i would like to develop a democratic culture among us. So i still invite you to tell me what you think about the above points and why should i blindly make lose the party. If by yourself are limited in your discussion saying that i don’t have the right to this or that i think you still don't know your rights.
the point is not being a poletical party or not , it is who was leading this party ? not now from its root , from the bigning , what was their aim ? their program ? their target , the leaders and their boss some where ? here is where the point is , many fighters are chited because of luck of political knowlage and exprience , but what is the problem to be a political party if the leaders were real ethiopians and strugle for the best of our country?
I appreciate your genieun idea, but we can't put all our heros who had strugled for democracy in the same sac. True we know that some members of TPLF specially in the ruling structure were not genuin but the origin of the strugle was like other ethiopian revolutionnary strugles for democracy and specially in order the tigreans have their right in the different institutions of ethiopia. It can't be denied that we were refused our basic rights in the structure of the ruling feudal governement of Haileselasie.
sorry for misunderstanding. I take your critics. the title misled me. sorry.
I appreciate the value you have for TPLF. That's true, it was our hope. we paid a huge sacrifice from Sahel to Moyale for the very reason that democracy may prevail across the nation. Unfortunately that's not showing at the moment. the members of TPLF were well aware of the fact that many revolutions had been diverted or toppled due to gradual degradation of the party values. our confidence was not merely on the leadership alone. The whole tegadalay was sincer and fighting for truth. the leaders were constantly being challeged by the cadres. If you are real tegadalay, you will understand what i mean. this time around the cadre could not demonstrate the courage it had during the armed struggle. now every body is having a family to care about. If one opens his mouth, to outcome is just throwing him out of his job and life would be miserable. so everybody is becoming a "yes-man". What we see now is not the real TPLF we loved it the most , died and wounded for its cuase.
It's pity that the people of Tigray see this unfortunate situation. What i am trying to say is our OLG TPLF is and will remain in the hearts of our people and even in historic museums as you said. this new TPLF has a chance to repent all the mistakes it committed and regain the values of the old one. otherwise it should change it's name to something else and let our true TPLF rest in peace.
