Lest he forgets his roots!  

His mother was born in Adwa ,Yeha,from a 100% Adwan family.

 His father, Ato Afewerki (a very humble and kind man who lived most of his mature  life in Makele),is also  a 100%Tigrayan ,born in Hamassien.This gentle man was always proud when he spoke of his Enderta(Sahariti) maternal origin,and Agame and Temben ,his father`s origin.If this great man ,who I personally met in Mekele on daily basis was alive today,no doubt that he would have preffered living as a monk in Axum-Zion to living in the Asmara palace with his son,Issayas.By the way,do not get me wrong, Mr Affewerki was very proud of Issayas.I do not know how he arrived at his conclusion,but, the man had  always firmly believed that Issayas will help re-unite the  Tigray-Tigrigni, and then help in refederating it  with the other provinces of Ethiopia .

    Threre are many hard core nationalist Eritreans who are of 100%  Tigray-Origin,not just Issayas Affewerki,who , I am using here only ,as a prime Example.

     Some of these people are extemely anti-Tigray.I have always wondered why ,and never found an answer.Can any body explain this anomalic behavior to me?
