I know why Eritrea is afraid of peace with Ethiopia, ask me how becasue i do inside out of connection. First, if Eritrea excepts the peace plan it will it will weaken further the Eritrean dictator and the Shabia regime at large. Even if they go ahead and demarc without dialog it creat more problems. Ethiopia will ask reperation from war damage since it is well document Eritrea regime is the aggressor, Ethiopia will ask billions of war damage. Seconly, At current stand the currency "Nakfa" is one dollar buys thity Nakfa and if normalization occures, Eritrea would have to use dollar to buy Ethiopian products such as industrial equipments, food, liquide, oil, coffee, etc.. The state of Eritrea do not have enough hard currencies to sustane buying foriegn items. Eritrea can't even afford buying gas and oil, due to miger hard currencie like the might dollars. If Prime Meles Zenawi keeps emphysising about the root cause of the war, he most likey is talking about accountiabilities and responsibilities who ignited the war and the damage thereafter. Accepting and demarcing the border does not mean anything.
